PR HU-44: Boltaña - Morillo de Sampietro

Level of Difficulty: Medium - Total distance: 16km - Slope: 550m
The hike starts on the route of the PR-HU 40 that leads to San Vicente de Labuerda.This route goes around Boltaña Castle and allows you to visit the Santa Barbara Hermitage. After reaching a junction, you leave the PR-HU 40 and take the left path towards Morillo de Sampietro. Continue on this route until you reach the small village of Morillo de Sampietro.
From Morillo de Sampietro there are glorious views to Vio Valley, Monte Perdido, Castillo Mayor and Peña Montañesa. The San Lorenzo Romanesque Church has outstanding mural paintings from the Middle Ages. Another option is to go by car to Ascaso. From the old ironmonger’s the PR HU-185 route leads to to Morillo de Sampietro, a shorter itinerary and well signposted.
PR HU-40: Boltaña - Jánovas

Level of difficulty: Low - Distance: 15km - Slope: 41m
The route starts at the beginning of the A-1604 road, here you need to take the dirk track leading to Seso. Just before arriving at Seso you enter a pine and oak wood that runs along the Ara riverbanks.
The most spectacular stretch of the route is the Janovas gorge: a path as narrow as it is stunning, through wild and vertical rock formations. Once past this stretch you arrive at Janovas. Please pay special attention to the route markers, and sections that run close to the river, especially when the river is swollen after rain.
PR HU-40: Boltaña - San Vicente de Labuerda

Level of difficulty: Low - Total Distance: 10km - Slope: 151m
This route departs from the road leading off the main square in the direction of the cemetery. Take the right hand trail that, after passing Santa Barbara hermitage, leads to the trial in the direction of Morillo de Sampietro.
Follow this trail until you reach a junction, take the right turn that goes down into the ravine of San Martín. To get to the mountain pass of Camporredondo you have to pass through the ravine until the trail joins the path to Ainsa.
Continue along this trail and after passing San Miguel Hermitage you will finally arrive to San Vicente de Labuerda.
PR HU-186: Boltaña - Aínsa
Estimated time: 2h (there and back)
Level of Difficulty: Low - Total Distance: 8.6km - Slope: 60m
The route departs from the Margurdued Square to cross the valley of Sieste.
The itinerary is signposted throughout and runs parallel to the Ara River on the right riverbank.
This route is suitable for bicycles up to Ainsa.
