From Morillo there are glorious views to Vio Valley, Monte Perdido, Castillo Mayor and Peña Montañesa. The San Lorenzo Romanesque Church outstands with its mural paintings from the Middle Ages. Another option is going up in the car until Ascaso. From the old ironmonger’s starts PR HU-185 path to Morillo de Sampietro, a shorter itinerary and completely signposted.

The route starts at the beginning of the A-1604 road, where you have to take the forestall trail that leads to Seso.

Just before arriving to this nucleus, we enter a pine and kermes oak woods that run along the Ara riverbanks.

The most spectacular stretch of the itinerary goes through Janovas strait: a path as narrow as it is stunning, through wild and vertical “ribs”.

Once past this stretch, you will arrive to Janovas without any difficulties.

Pay special attention to the stretches with pointers and the stretches of path near the river, particularly when the river is swollen.
